It all started with a whirlwind Engagement shoot at Winston Salem State University, just days before their wedding. When I met Elvira aka Rebecca, aka Becky I had no clue she and her fiancee Rickey would be so much fun. Although I’m still not sure what to call her, she is one of the most joyful people I’ve ever met. In the short time I’ve known her, I’ve rarley seen her face without a beautiful smile. After meeting Rickey, and seeing the way he looks at her, I know why she smiles so much.
The wedding day began at the Village Inn, Clemmons, NC, where Becky and her 12…..yup 12 bridesmaids got ready. Rebecca wore a beautiful dress, which her sister had also worn, making it much more special.
The Ceremony, in Winston Salem, which was held at the Macedonian Church of GOD, was elaborate and elegant and matched the couple’s Royal Wedding theme perfectly. When the doors opened, and Rebecca came down the asile, a beaming smile spread across Rickey’s face. Including their great love of god into the ceremony through praise was so beautiful that it struck emotion in everyone’s heart who was there. After happily coming back down the asile as man and wife, The couple headed back to their reception at the Village INN, for a fun evening of friends, family and dancing.
The moment guests formed a soul train line, I just had to get front and center, I love all of the hillarious moments that happen as people shine in the spotlight for a moment. As the night began to wind down, and while the guests were busy dancing, I stole the bride and groom for a romantic moment.
Rickey & Rebecca, you were both such a joy to be around, and I’m glad that I’ve had a chance to get to know you. Thank you for inviting me to be your wedding photographer, your love is bright and beautiful, Koy and myself are honored to have been a part of your day.
