You never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory { North Carolina Wedding Photographer} Personal Photos

Dr. Seuss has a quote that I love: ” You never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory”

My Family is everything to me, but I am afraid being a photographer leaves me coming up a little short with my own family’s photos. Together we share many good times, fun outings lots of  laughs and plenty of memories, but I often leave my camera behind because I associate it with work. Lately  I have been going through old photos and wishing I had more documenting of my own family along the way. Summer is coming and should bring lots of new adventures our way, I am resolving to take more family photos, so we can look back  and re-live the love and laughter for years to come.

It was December, two years ago, and suddenly snow began to fall.
A heavy snow, very unusual compared to North Carolina’s occasional powdery dusting. I opened the door, excited to see Empress’ reaction- this was the first time she would really experience snow. She was so amazed by the sky full of gently falling snowflakes, and her adorable reactions are a precious memory I’ll never forget. We had fun with Empress for the rest of the afternoon, playing in the snow, and showing her how to make, snowmen, snow angels and snowballs then we hurried inside to sip on hot cocoa.

What is your favorite memory, and do you have photos of it?
