I feel most at home in the woods. When I look up and see a canopy of trees it feels like the weight of the world rolls right off of my shoulders. Mostly, these days I am sitting in front of a computer screen, completing office tasks, and photo- editing. In the midst of wedding season it can be easy to lose yourself in work, to sit at the computer for hours on end in a zombie- like state. Everyday I walk for an hour, and I let my mind wander. More often than not it wanders right back to photography, to creating, to what I love. I typically spend my free time composing and creating images in my head. Today during my walk I was inspired to photograph these three images. It is in the most busy of moments that we need to take time for ourselves, find ways to re-energize the creative spirit and remember why we create in the first place.
